Civilization VI Arrives On iPad With Unheard Of $60 Price Tag

Civilization 6 comes to iPad, full game to cost $60

"Civilization VI" for the iPad is free to play for a limited number of turns.

For iPad, Civilization VI requires iOS 11.0 or later and will run on an iPad Air or newer, iPad mini 2 or newer, or any iPad Pro model. It does come across as a surprise that the price of the game for iPad is the same as what is available for PC. Civilization: Revolution, a less complex spinout, has previously made its way to the iPad, but this is the full Civilization VI released for PCs originally a year ago.

Aspyr Media was responsible for bringing the latest "Civilization" game to the iOS, via the iPad. If you're an existing fan of the franchise with compatible hardware, I know you've already purchased this so I won't waste my breath.

KitGuru Says: Civilization is one of the better strategy games, in my own opinion, and while the older titles may be considered a little more intricate, Civ VI is above and beyond any of its spin-off titles. The game has sold more than 8 million copies. That sounds apocalyptic for an iPad game, but since it's essentially the exact same product as you'd get on PC for that price, tha'ts.OK? A game this awesome at this cheap prize, downloaded on the iPad. These include the removal of the animation in screens that show the leader of the civilization.

Civilization VI is the first in the Civilization series to be released for the iPad. To advance more quickly, use your units to actively explore, develop your environment, and discover new cultures. From now until January 4, 2018, you can pick it up for $30 at the App Store. Also at a discount is the desktop version of the game on Steam.

According to a new FAQ page posted by the developer, the port does support multiplayer, but it is restricted to LAN play. Regarding add-on content, Aspyr said, "We hope to support DLC and expansions in the future but can not confirm timing or availability at this time".
